Scary Games in Oculus Rift

Here are some collection of the scary games with Oculus rift support.

Dreadhalls
Dreadhalls is a VR dungeon crawler game similar to Slender, but here you wake up on a dark dungeon where your goal is to find the exit... fast. Unlike other horror games, there is no items to collect and puzzles to solve in this game, the game is all about progression.

Although it doesn't have the puzzle or locked doors gameplay the immersion of this game is unforgivably horrifying. Oculus rift + a really good headset will instantly remove you from the real world and into this spine tingling dungeon. There is no weapon in this game, only stealth and a strong heart, seriously you will need a strong heart to finish this game.

Literally a new game to poop your pants on.

Daylight
In this game you woke up in one of the scariest place to be - an abandoned hospital. Surely you woke up at night and not the other way around. With only your cell phone to light your way, you EXPLORE the hospital as you look for an exit. Imagine waking up with an iphone 5! You'll end up without any light in a few minutes!

What makes Daylight horrifying is that the world is procedurally generated - meaning no two gameplay is alike! Each time you start a new game the experience will be different. You can't even trust a guide to spoil you of the horrors inside as the experience is unique to all players.

The Forest
A tragic plane crash leaves you on an unknown island, as the lone survivor of the crash you need to find a way to stay alive. Huge difference in this game is that there are tons of things to do in this game. You can build your own shelter, you can build in the forest or have a nice cool house by the beach. Craft weapons to defend yourself against the cannibalistic mutants living in the forest and set traps to defend your shelter. Oh did I mentioned about the cannibalistic mutants? Yep they're out there.

Maere: When Lights Die
When I checked out their website the following quote is the first one I read.

"They've promised that dreams can come true
- but forgot to mention that nightmares are dreams too."
                                                                    - Oscar Wilde

Now that was scary, not only does it makes a very good intro for the game, it is also a very good quote to remember in real life. Anyway, in Maere: When Lights Die, you play as a volunteer tester for a VR experiment where scientist generates a lovely virtual dream for you to explore. However things gets out of hand and the lovely virtual dream became a nightmare and you end up exploring a haunted house with scary dark corridors and rooms.

Stranded in the deep
Take the role of a plane crash survivor stranded somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. Experience terrifying encounters both above and below an endless environment. Scavenge, discover, survive.

The game is not yet released but I'm surely looking forward to play this game!

There you go, obviously he collection is not complete as there are still lots more survival horror games out there that you can play with the Oculus Rift.

Let me end this post with a cool Oculus Rift roller coaster game video.
